Projects

The Northwest Keizer Neighborhood Association is leading various projects for the betterment of our Keizer community.

The Community Graffiti Program, although spearheaded by the Association, is the embodiment of collaboration amongst the five neighborhood associations through Keizer.

Currently, the Community Graffiti Program has received funding from the West Keizer Neighborhood Association and we are working toward engaging all of Keizer’s neighborhood associations and grow this project to greater proportions.

Community Graffiti Program

The Keizer Community Graffiti Program is now up and running. The program is a joint project with the NW Keizer Neighborhood Association, the City of Keizer Code Enforcement and McNary High School’s JROTC Program.  The goal is to mitigate the graffiti problems in our community by having monthly graffiti removal sessions.

March 1, 2025 was the first session. Ben Crosby, the City of Keizer Code Enforcement Officer, and Senior Master Sergeant Stephen Hammond from McNary JROTC Program trained and supervised the JROTC cadets and parents in cleaning and removing graffiti in the Tepper Lane tunnel of Keizer and other areas.

April 9, 2025 was our second session, with cleanup on Lockhaven Drive.

graffitiIf you see graffiti within city limits, report it!  Reports help Keizer Police to keep track of graffiti activity and help Public Works with clean up.  Your reports help get this neighborhood issue under better control.

The City of Keizer Helmet Program

The City of Keizer Helmet Program started in 1997 and relies on donations from the community and a $5 donation request for each fitted helmet for its program funding. Since its start over 6000 helmets have been fitted to Keizer kids and adults.

Each helmet is CPSC approved and is fitted to the individual. There are helmet fitting events throughout the year in Keizer or you can contact: Hersch Sangster 503 949-1276 or David Dempster 503 463-5892 for a helmet fitting.
